ALS : to an unidentified correspondent, 1829 May 22.

Concerns a portion of Lafayette's land near New Orleans now owned by Sir Joshua Coghill. Because of some uncertainty about the definition of his Louisiana holdings, Lafayette suggests that Coghill exchange his claim to the Louisiana tract for some of Lafayette's land near Tallahassee.
